Committee Functions
The Presidential Committee for National Cohesion is a consultative body to the President. It performs the following functions regarding polices and projects related to national cohesion.
- 1To set the basic direction for national cohesion
- 2To establish, modify and implement strategies for national cohesion
- 3To adjust, evaluate and support policies of the ministries and agencies of the Government concerning national cohesion
- 4To identify and disseminate the values of national cohesion
- 5To prevent and resolve social conflicts
- 6To promote the importance of national cohesion as a way of life
- 7To promote legislation supporting national cohesion
- 8To collect public opinion regarding national cohesion from all sectors of society and facilitate dialogue
- 9To research and monitor national cohesion
- 10To deliberate and act on all other matters raised by the President requiring committee advice and matters raised by the chairman of the committee during committee meetings
